OK, sorry for the provocative subject :) Honestly, why
can't you let the Christians be?

Why don't you take it up with them?
Tell them to stop bothering us and we'll stop.
Until then, we'll continue to throw it back into their faces.

I don't believe in a god
either, but what's with the endless rants? What do you
hope to achieve?

How about getting them to leave us alone?

Are you complaining about atheists who go out of their way
to start threads in religious newsgroups? If so, you
may well have a point.

On the other hand, if you're asking about atheists who
rant in an atheist newsgroup, how is that not letting
"Christians be"?

(and while we're on the topic of newsgroup appropriate,
why did you set followups to comp.lang.c?)

It depends at a fundamental level what Christians and other believers in the
silent and invisible understand the word 'Atheist's to mean.

Because Christians can't let anyone else be. Their constant buggering
of us normal folk is obnoxious and totally uncalled for.

I hope to convince them to keep their delusions to themselves.

Goes two ways, chowderhead. If they kept their damn mouths shut and left us
alone, there wouldn't be any problems.

Well maybe the next world war could be prevented; although I
doubt it.

It is said that war could well be between Islam and
Christianity, nuclear, worldwide, wiping out half of
humanity.

All in the names of imaginary gods

Is that a good enough reason ?

Oh and those of us left alive will have to cope with
radiation sickness.

Also to prevent silly, stupid, mindless letters, like the
one sent to The Telgraph Newpaper last week:

'There is probably no god' it says on the side of London
buses.
There was probably no atheist among the passengers on the US
Airbus that landed in the Hudson River some days ago'

. . . . . . . Could it get any more banal than that ?

My favorite are Kelly Clarkson and David Archuleta. Didn't watch
season 4 or 5, so I don't know how they were on the show but I like
Carrie and Daughtry too.

If you're doing this as an exercise in C, well and fine; if you're doing
it because you want to write an adventure game, it's a very bad idea.
Use a specialised adventure game language, such as Inform 6 or TADS; it
will make your job a lot easier.

Don't tell me TADS still exists? *Surely* Inform has won the Darwinian
race outright by now and eliminated all its inferior contenders?

If you want a laugh, check out Inform 7.

Oh, what's wrong with it? It's been a couple years since I last had
anything to do with IF, so I'm well out of the loop on recent Inform
developments.

I really couldn't explain in just a Usenet post. You'll have to go look
for yourself. But if you expect it to be anything like Inform 1-6, it
isn't. At all.
