When you open a word document within Internet Explorer, the only
toolbar displayed is the Reviewing toolbar. Is there a way to force IE
to display the standard toolbar by default (without needing to right
click and select the toolbar manually). I need to have the save button
visible by default as not all the users will be very computer literate
and I need them to save their changes. I have tried changing the
FileOpen and many of the Web... word commands under Macros to force the
toolbars to display, however the macros appear to simply not run when
the document is opened in IE.
There is some information from
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q178222, which
explains you can have the document open directly into word without
using IE at all. However the IT department I am dealing with will not
uncheck the "Browse in Same Window" checkbox. Something along the lines
of the code example from the link would be nice so I can directly code
it in, but it appears that anything later than Word97 will not allow
these kind of actions and any attempts I have made to code this have
failed due to security restrictions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
