Overriding finalize() method

Discussion in 'Java' started by Noé R. Barranco, Aug 29, 2003.

  1. Hi Everybody,
    According to the JLS all classes (including array types) inherit from
    Object.
    So, is it possible (based on this fact) to override any of these methods
    (like finalize() for example) in an array ?

    Thanks,

    No, you can't subclass an array.
