Parsing Native shared libraries

Don't ask me why, that is way to convoluted... But, as of recently, I
    have the
need to parse a native library (either "Protable Executable", or "ELF"
[have to be able to do both for portability]). I know that there are
several tools out there for doing just that... GNU has libbfd. There
is even one place that I found that seems to have a bfd.jar that may do
just what I am looking for (the only issue with that, is the fact that
I need this to be an internally proprietary solution). Can anyone out
there point me toward a Class library that could help that I would be
able to use in a commercial product?
