Passing string array to web service

I have a web service like this:

<WebMethod()> _
Public Function PassArray(ByVal attachments() As String) As Boolean

I call it like this:

Dim myArray(5) As String
....init array
ws.PassArrayAsync(myArray)

I get:

Value of type '1-dimensional string' cannot be converted to 'ArrayOfString'

How can I pass a string array to a webservice?
