Patriotism

I was mostly doing electronics, except when I was drinking beer, or
sitting in the street with the mayor. I think I may have washed a car
today, too.

Well bully for you. Next time pay closer attention or keep your two
cents in your pocket.
Most of the insult-ritual-cycles are to boring to bother about.

They're also "too boring" to care about.
So, do you know anything about electronics?

I just told you what I know about. Apart from a BS in mechanical
engineering and thirteen years as a mainframe systems programmer for
major companies I can't say as I do.

You must be wearing down...... That was a weak, useless retort.

It may have been useless but it was scarecely weak.
If JF had not done such a complete job of pointing out your lack of
character, I'd have a go at it. Did he mention small minded, mean, and
spiteful? I don't recall.

Yes but we're still awaiting demonstrations of truth for his opinions.
Perhaps you'd care to have a go at that.

No, just whiny little girls like you.

Lester has a new trick: he opens his mouth to change feet.

I never claimed I could type. Or spell, even.

Right. Nothing that has to do with electronics.

Well if that's such good advice why don't you take it?

I have been here for some time now, i like Don's contributions. You
have yet to make any.

But you demonstrate the validity of his low opinion of you so
gracefully yourself. No others need to add to it.

OK, it's simple enough.

The truth of his opinions are your continuous, unwarranted attacks on a
long-term member of the electronic newsgroups, for his tag, and side issues
you have raised related to his tag. What you have done and continue to do,
is to attempt to justify your mean-spirited, vicious posts, which have no
justification/acceptance in a group of civilized people. There is
absolutely nothing you can say to make your spiteful comments appear
acceptable. Give it up and go away.

Thank you for the invitation to expand on my post.

I have an idea. Just delete sci.math from the alist and then you can
all get back on your hobby horses and continue to study Ohm's law and
Mho's law and Mike the Martyr's patriotism without my sayso.

Well hell, Festus, how about you find out who first included it and
take the issue directly to the source.

Patriotism
~v~~

As far as I'm concerned Lincoln's Gettysburg address is the definitive
commentary on military patriotism and I'll be goddamned if I let some
yokel ride in on his high horse, throw the flag in my face, and demand
I sing along with a hillbilly version of "What my DD214 means to me".
**** him and the horse he rode in on.

Yeah, yeah, you aren't a wannabe public censor, you just play one on
the internet. Go **** yourself.

~v~~

there comes a time when a fissure grows

government turns to favor
because power has become so easy

a commercial
a marketing blitz
with slogans and false dichotomies

giving away so quickly the two responsibilities of adulthood:

fucking learn

quick

^..^

if american citizens want to take back their government
they should be demanding free online education for everyone

open up all knowledge to beyond postdoc

then they need to sit themselves down
all of them
and learn some things about their world

anyone who wants to learn will eventually hate the censor
