Preload MP3 Audio to cache to remove all lag and cuts during playback

Hello. I tried to make the subject as descriptive as possible, since
the other topics on preloading audio did not really help.

My problem is that I need to preload 4 MP3 audio files, each somewhere
near 10-15 seconds long. The <embed> method will not work for me, IDK
why not. Is there any way to do this? And it is imperative that I have
no disruption during playback, if this is conceivably possible.

Now, my situation.

My site will enter using a preload page, which will preload a number of
images, and hopfully a few sounds. After that, JS will forward the
viewer to the homepage, where they can click on links and later find
some pages that use the sounds. Time is not an issue, except I'd like
to have the preload complete before an hour passes. LOL

I appreciate any light that could be shed on this matter, as it
presents a rather large roadblock for me.

The flash alternative is not usable for me, as I do not know flash, and
I have neither an IDE or compiler for it.

TY@!

OK... Are there any alternatives to SWF? Something I can make for free?
I am willing to learn something new, I just don't want to pay to do it!
