Take a screenshot, paste it into your fave painting program and use it
to print the page. Otherwise you have to rely on your browser to print
it, and it's not really designed for "specific" printing styles.

Can't you just open the webpage, set your printer up for 8.5x11 paper
and then print it? :\

What are you asking

"I am reading a page on the web and I want to print it ?"
or
"I am writing a page that I want other people to be able to print
easily ?"

When I print the content I want from a web page, why should I take the ads
with it?
The easiest way is to simply highlight the text you want, copy and paste
into notepad, save as a txt file and print it.

Seems to me that you're trying to fight back at those that have
criticised your CID (continuous incessant drivel). All you're doing
though is re-stating that you're a dumb-ass.

Why are you saving the stuff you've copied and pasted? Another
pointless step in Richard's Life with Computers, series 2. What about
printing tabular data?

You may want other images from the page tho - or formatting, or colour.
These things get dropped if you cut n paste into Notepad.

Way too simple -- it just won't work! Isn't there some sort of JavaScript
post processing and JAva/DHTML preprocsssing that needs to be done? On my
site I use a dual-vented meta tag encapsulation technique to first process
the textual content into PostScript Level 3 and then run the images
through a multi-step decompression scheme to properly collimate the pixel
axes and allow the images to be in line with the print spool. *Then* I
click the "Print" button!

Works for me every time! (Except I *do* have to make sure I am on a
machine with enough processing power).

No big deal.
Save the file as a complete html page.
Open in an editor and remove what you don't want.
Print the page from the editor.

It's the hassle factor... not sure I could be bothered. I guess I rarely
*print* web pages, other than street maps and order confirmations.
