Problem compiling ASP.NET application

D

David Berman

I've been having some trouble, hopeing for some help!

I'll add a new web form to my site, build successfully, and then see an
error in line 1 of my web form saying that it can't find the class for
the page.

Then later I'll come back to the site and it seems to be working. I'll
make changes to the page, and successfully build, but won't see the
update.

I think that the DLL for the application isn't getting updated right
away somehow.

Anyone else experience this? Know a fix? I don't always get this
problem, only if I email my solution file to another computer and then
start working on the project.

Thank you!

Just checking... Is it possible that your browser or proxy server is caching
old version of the page?

Try opening IE to Tools > Internet Options > General Settings and check
Check for newer versions of stored pages: Every visit to the page.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. My web browser was already set as you had
specified. I found that if I deleted the DLL and then built the project
then it would build correctly.

Does anyone find the editor to be buggy? Like when cutting and
pasting in particular?
