Problem with client side validation and long web page

Hi

I have a web page with a text field and a RequiredFieldValidator and
a ValidationSummary for display of the validator messages.
That works fine in following cases (an error should detected on Validator):
- steps in the next Input Field before clicking the OK button
- direct clicking the OK button without need to scroll within the page

It doesn't work if it's need to scroll in the page for clicking the Ok-Button
(the validator message is not shown in the validation summaray).
On a second click to the OK button: the message is now presented on the
validation summary.

What's the the solution for this problem?
