Problems using ASPNET OutputStreams

Discussion in 'ASP .Net' started by Yurai Núñez Rodríguez, May 2, 2004.

  1. Hello,

I have a problem while using a webservice to serve data to clients through
its Response.OutputStream. The problem comes out when there are at least two
clients reading from their corresponding ResponseStream before closing it,
and a third client requests some data. It can be seen by debugging, how the
Webservice or WebPage (I have tried both) receives the request, writes
appropiate data to the OutputStream and finishes the method however, the
client keeps blocked in the GetResponseStream Invocation.

I also tried closing the OutputStream in the server after writing but, I had
    similar results.

Does anybody knows a solution for it? Any workaround?

    Thanks in advance,

    Yurai
