I have a C routine that uses the fcloseall() command, then moves
immediately into a routine that renames the files just closed.
Occasionally, a rename will fail, even though both the "from" and "to"
filenames are complete and accurate.
I'm beginning to wonder if there may be some sort of residual lock on
the file(s) left over from the fcloseall() that is causing the rename
to fail, and this is just a timing issue that would be resolved by
causing the process to sleep for a few milliseconds.
This process has been in place and running for several years now, but
this problem has just started within the past few weeks.
Any comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
