Anyone know of a dBLib compatible interface for Python to MySQL 4.1 / 5.0. ?

The MySQL-python Sourceforge page mentions an upcoming MySQL-python-2.0.0
that will handle the new MySQL client API, but that notice was posted last
April, and no word of it since then......
