Question about uploading bin file to cgi from java application

Hello,
I have a java app that need to upload files(both bin and ascii) to a
cgi script via post.
I currently via the java application open the httpd connection and
then send a couple of values as a post would do, this works fine.
So now i am not sure how to send a file.
Do i stream the file to the http server as i read it?
