Re: Difference between Web Control Library and Class Library

Discussion in 'ASP .Net' started by Alan Ferrandiz [MCT], Sep 11, 2004.

  1. The difference is simple. The Web Control Library is designed to have code that renders a user interface. It means creating your own control rendering HTML to reuse it in one or more projects (by placing it in the Toolbox). The Class Library is not meant to have a user interface but only to have code to reuse it in one or more projects ( it cannot be placed in the Toolbox but in the References section of your project).

    Hope this helps
