    You could always move text from one location to another
    using your own "for" loop.

    By the way, Visual C++ is a compiler: a tool for compiling
    the C++ language. The C++ language is not Visual C++.
    If your issue is specific to Visual C++, ask in a
    Microsoft newsgroup; there are other compilers out there,
    as well as platforms.
