Re: Notifying clients in asp.net

  1. A web server can't notify any clients. In you case the client that processed
data should submit the results to the server. The other clients should poll
    the server for updates.

We are developing a web app (there is a desktop application already
developed) wherein web clients can process certain data on the web page and
this processed information needs to be NOTIFIED to the other web clients
connected (and the desktop clients,if any). How can this scenario be taken
care in asp.net ? I have been lookimg and reading a fair bit about
HTTpModules but have not been able to figure out where exactly this will fit
    in.

Your ideas will be highly appreciated.
