On certain occasions Visual Studio 2008 does not generate or regenerate the
designer file (*.aspx.designer.vb) automatically. If there is only one or
two controls that I have added, this is not a problem because I can simply
add them manually and let them get replaced when the file is generated.
However, there are situations when there are a larger number of controls I
need to add (for example, if I am copying and pasting code from another
file). Back when I used to use 2005 I was once told that switching between
source and design view would regenerate the file, but this did not work here
(I'm not even sure whether it did back in 2005, but I'm using 2008 now
anyway). Does anybody have any ideas?
