Releasing Tomcat Threads

    Hi, I've been looking around for information on configuration settings in
    Tomcat that would allow for the thread count to be reduced when load comes
    down. What I observe on my system (Irix 6.5.19, Java 1.4.1, Tomcat 4.1.24)
    is that as needed the java process thread count will increase under load.
    When the load comes down, the thread count stays the same. Is This a Tomcat
    design or can this behavior be managed?
