Dear Sir,

Recently (Feb. 12.2007) my mail "How to drag images with a mouse?" was
published here, and I've got a reply.

Soon after my message was published, a spam overflowed my mailbox. The fact
is, that I've JUST opened this mailbox (two weeks ago), and JUST registered
with your newsgroup (Feb. 12.2007).

My ISP administratot told me that it was my fault to honestly write my
return mail in the Properties tab of a newsgroup account at Outlook Express.
So now it appears in the header of my message "How to drag images with a
mouse?", and greedy spammers which scan the newsgroups for new addresses now
are free to abuse my family (including a child, a schoolgirl) with their
nasty proposals.

Please help my family and me to protect from spammers!

I understand it was my fault to be honest - but, PLEASE: would you DELETE my
message "How to drag images with a mouse?" from a newsgroup?

Thanks in advance,

Abraham Durceau

Dear Sir,

This is Usenet, a group, not an individual. (And, like most newsgroups
on Usenet, comp.lang.javascript is not moderated)

No. Spam is a fact of live on today's Internet. Your email address is
going to get into the hands of spammers, so lying about who you are on
Usenet might delay the inevitable, but nothing more. It isn't a
solution.
Please help my family and me to protect from spammers!

I have great success with http://spamassassin.apache.org/

I've heard that the free Thunderbird mail client has decent spam
filtering, and needs far less technical knowledge to set up then
Spamassassin.
I understand it was my fault to be honest - but, PLEASE: would you DELETE my

Nobody has that ability. This is Usenet, your message has been
distributed across hundreds (possibly thousands) of servers and a
great many permanent archives.
