    Hi, everyone,

I am writing RTL codes for a H.264 decoder using VHDL now. I heard a lot talk about resource sharing. And I would like to take advantage of it.

But I am not very experienced in synthesis, therefore, I am not certain about the impact of using immense resource sharing.

I wish some experts could help me explain a little bit about it. Should I use operator sharing as much as possible, or to what degree I can apply operator sharing if I want my deisng to be more power efficient with reasonable loss of speed performance.

Thank you very much in advance.
