newbie here...

i'm using a form http://www.response-o-matic.com/ but don't like the fact
that once you are done filling it out the form i made, it takes you to a
page wanting you to fill out further info ( advertising ). is there
something i'm doing wrong? is there a way to bypass this? is there another
system ( free of course lol ) that i could use?

Might be helpful to let us know which form on which page.
You have a miriad of links and two newsletters buttons to choose from on the
home page.
Your own newsletter button worked just fine.
The freebie stuff takes you to topica.com.
If that's what you're asking about, then this form is created by topica.com
and you have created a link to that page by using the button.
If you don't want the outside form to call up, just remove the text above
the button, change the wording in the button to something like, "www topica
com" so users know where it's going to.
You are not creating the second form, they are.
