rewind & forward function in sound file

HI, I currently develop a sound program which is able to play the
sound. But, I wish to include th rewind and forward features of sound
into the program. Is anybody know about it?

The Clip interface supports setting the frame position directly.

Look into the JMF classes. They let you implement an electronic tape
recorder.
