Select option - selected-color

Hi at all !
When I select an option or the SELECT item gets focus, it turns blue, I want
to override this and make it a different color.
Is there some cure for this ?

No. It's an operating system setting.

If there is, then the correct tool would be CSS, not JavaScript.

In theory you could do:

option {
background-color: red;
color: white;
}

You are likely to find rather limited browser support for this. Generally
speaking, leaving form controls unstyled is a good idea. Styled form
controls have a habit of generating confused users.
