I'm trying to send multiple key and name value pairs of data, but i'm
sensing i have to process that from the destination page, rather than
when using send()?
for example:
function remoteRename(targetDiv, itemToRename, oldName, newName) {
if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {
xhr = new XMLHttpRequest();
}
else if (window.ActiveXObject) {
xhr = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
}
<? echo 'xhr.open("POST","http://myurl/rename.php");'; ?>
xhr.setRequestHeader('Content-Type','text/plain');
xhr.send(itemToRename,oldName,newName);
xhr.onreadystatechange=function() {
if (xhr.readyState==4) {
RetrieveXML = xhr.responseText;
document.getElementById(targetDiv).innerHTML = 'renamed to:' +
RetrieveXML + '<BR />';
}
}
won't work afaik.
am i simply limited to /having/ to send it all as one string, and
parsing the data on the destination end?
