setting form initial value

    Hi all,

    How do I set the initial value of a form element to the value of a
    previous form element?

    something like:

    <input type=text maxlength="40" size="40" name="user"
    value=form.lastPageVariable.value>

    That depends on what language you are using to generate the document.
