Showing Tif files in IE6.0 windowsxp

I have a strange problem on WindowsXP proffessional with
IE6 ,when i try to display a tiff file ,it is not
showing ,small red x is comming up.
I tried by dowloading latest IE from microsoft but no use.
This is working fine on win2k IE6

Here is the html file I am using to display the tif file

<html>
<head>
<img SRC="http://192.168.0.30/test/test.tif" BORDER="1">
</head>
</html>

Any help will be Greately appriciated

You are right ..I would have posted
in different group.
Are you sure IE6.0 doesn't support showing tifs??Because
the code I have given showing the tif file in IE6.0 on
win2k,but not on winxp,On xp I am not even getting prompt
to download the file,all I am getting is a small red X
icon.

server :http://192.168.0.30/test/test.tif --is on win2k
IE6.0

client:WINXP IE6.0 Not working
:WIN2k IE6.0 wroking perfect

Are you sure?

In our environment we have about 30 Win2K machines, 30 WinXP machines and
about a dozen WinNT4 machines and none will show a tiff in the browser. I
had to write a whole .NET image converter/splitter to get our fax interface
working.
