Simple CA using SUN JCE ?

Hello,

I need to implement a client side to create a keypair and request a
certificate, then a tool to create a certificate. Is there somewhere
a simple example how to do this, especially the client side ?

Things like EJBCA bury the real code under heaps of things to drive GUI
or other interfaces or use BouncyCastle, which does not work using
Webstart ...
