Candidate will work on a team of software developers in San Jose, CA,
as part of the Voice Technology group that is responsible for
developing, enhancing, and maintaining the IPCC Express product which
is Cisco's Java based IP contact center application for the low and
mid range market. Further responsibilities will include designing and
developing a next generation Contact Center.
This position requires working on core Contact Center features and
several CTI protocols that enable the integration of the product with
other desktop applications and Cisco products.
As part of this group, the candidate is required to:
Demonstrate a strong knowledge in SW product
definition, design, implementation and
documentation,
Develop large portions of software independently
and rapidly involving multiple platforms,
Champion new, improved design methodologies
including the design of interfaces between
products and components to ensure
interoperability,
Write complete functional and design specs
independently,
Write and execute development test plans including
automated test cases,
Contribute to the development of project goals,
schedules, and resource planning,
Interface with other product teams such as the
CallManager team, third party vendors and
functional groups such as TAC, QA, Documentation,
Product Management, etc. and
Participate in Cisco's Patent Program.
Required Skills:
Java programming skills (Strong C++ skills also
acceptable)
Object Oriented Analysis and Design
Windows 2000/XP/2003
Linux
Experience in network programming (using TCP/IP)
Knowledge of databases
Experience with system level analysis of complex
problems
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
Highly desired:
Contact Center knowledge/experience
IP telephony knowledge/experience.
Knowledge of CTI protocols (Jtapi ans SIP)
Understanding of third-party call control
Web based application development.
Ability to work with customers to resolve
problems.
