Hello,

does anybody know how to start hh (htmlhelp) for a jar-File containing
a chm-file in java?

Something like "hh <pfad>/archiv.jar::hilfe.chm::/hilfe.html"?

Regards,
Martina

You can't. hh doesn't know about jar files, so it doesn't know how to
extract the chm file from the jar.

I suggest you look at JavaHelp instead and don't mix propritary
Microsoft applications and formats with Java. In fact IMHO it is a
brain dead idea to use hh in a Java application.

JavaHelp is free and can be downloaded from Sun's web site. JavaHelp
uses HTML for the help information, too. So with a little bit of luck
and maybe some XML style sheet translation you can convert the
propritary hh tags into something usable for JavaHelp.
