Storing session state info using framework 2.0

I was able to configure an asp.net app with the 2.0 framework to store
session state information in a SQL Server 2000 database.

- Is the .net framework 2.0 a supported configuration by MS?
- Is is supported on a SQL server failover cluster (MSCS)? If so, any impact
to the session data during a cluster failover/failback operation?
- Is it suitable for a web farm? Any issues?
