Struts action question

Hi,

I have a jsp page that takes some input data throw a form , the problem
is that there is a data that is a collection of data, and I am going to
use a <select> tag.

But when and where I put the data nedded for the .jsp page?

am I going to create a specific action only for putting on the request
the Collection needded for my jsp page?
