SWT updating labels

[JNU]

I am having trouble making SWT Label widgets display new messages.

Using the display.asyncExec mechanism I can write new messages to Text
widgets using textBox.append( "This is the text" ) - but I don't want
Text widgets I want Labels! There isn't an append() method for the
Label widget and using the setText() method doesn't work.

Anyone know how to update Labels???
