System.Timers.Timer and global.asax.vb

Discussion in 'ASP .Net Web Controls' started by Jay Wiley via .NET 247, Jun 11, 2004.

  1. I need to have a server side timer that I can use to fire off different events such as sending out emails, etc. Can i create a timer and put the Timer_Elapsed() function in global.asax.vb? I tried this and the timer does not seem to fire.
