Thread install problem (with -Dusethreads)

Trying to install Perl-5.8.7 on Solaris-8.

$ sh Configure -Dusethreads -d
$ make (or make perl)
....
gcc -o perl -L/usr/local/lib perlmain.o
lib/auto/DynaLoader/DynaLoader.a libperl.a `cat ext.libs` -lsocket
-lnsl -ldl -lm -lpthread -lc
gcc: lib/auto/DynaLoader/DynaLoader.a: No such file or directory
make: *** [perl] Error 1

Why this error?
Without -Dusethreads, the build is OK.
