TI Tap Controller std8980

Has anyone used std8980 model from FMF (http://
www.freemodelfoundry.com/)? We are having some problems with the
model and I was wondering if anyone has successfully used this model.

The problem is that the internal state machine seems to be ahead of
other devices on the chain. This causes the data transfers not to go
through correctly. The TDO data is sent out too early and the TDI is
sampled too early.
