Hi,
our client will update its desktop PCs to Windows XP this jear. The
Internet security settings will be set up to _not_ allow Javascript in
the internet zone.
Currently we are testing our Microsoft CMS app on that configuration.
The
server's hostname is included in the trusted sites list because MCMS
needs Javascript and ActiveX.
Everything works fine (more or less) except for the treeview IE
controls included in the MCMS web author pages. The items' OnClick
events are not executed.
The strange thing is that this depends on the secutity setting in the
_internet zone_ (!). Switching the "Allow Active Scripting" setting
for internet sites toggles OnClick execution in the treeview.
A http trace showed no request to other sites. The listview.htc files
reside on
the same host.
For testing purposes we inserted a similar link in the CMS dialog ASPX
page outsite of the list view. It is functional with scripting only
enabled for trusted sites.
My assumption is that the code in listview.htc must be changed to not
do something that makes IE apply stricter settings. Like setting
document.base.href maybe.
Help appreciated!
