Job Description:
Desktop configurations and install of Windows 7
This position assists staff with technical support of desktop
computers, applications, and related
technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing
of computer systems and
peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities
require interaction with
application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve
unique, non-recurring
problems. The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users
and University Network
staff. The employee in this position also assists in the maintenance
and testing of network
servers and associated equipment. The position’s responsibilities
require independent analyses,
communication and problem solving. Work is performed with little
supervision and requires
initiative and judgment.

*Communication Skills is Required
*Organizational Skills is Required
*Prioritization Skills is Required
*Time Management Skills is Required
*Self-Direction is Required
*PC Experience is Required
*Basic Software Knowledge is Required
*A+ Certification is Highly desired
*MCTS certification is Highly desired
*2 Years of experience in upgrading systems from Windows XP to Windows
7 operating system is Required
*2 Years of experience in applications using RDP and/or Dameware is
highly desired
*2 Years of experience in IT support in a large corporate setting is
highly desired
