Upload / download multiple files in sequence

Hello all!

I am trying to find a component which helps me upload and download
many files at a time. As far as I can see, there are three options:

1. ActiveX control
2. Java applet
3. Purchase sharepoint

Sharepoint is not an option, and because i program asp.net I assume an
ActiveX component would be the best choice. My problem is that I can't
really find any suitable ActiveX components out there. So if you have
any better solutions or experiences with this I would appreciate it
very much if you gave me a helping hand!
