I have a drop down list control which I want to have automatically add a null
item to. So I extended DropDownList and tried to have it add an item to the
control on the performdatabind function. But the item was always being
overwritten, so I tried to use the AppendDataBoundItems property to make it
work, but it seems to go into an infinite loop every time it hits the
AppendDataBoundItems = true statement. IE it restarts the databinding over
and over again.
Am I going about this wrong? Is there a better way to make this happen?
Any help is much appreciated.
