Using JWindow under Red Hat Linux 9 and Java 1.4.2

I have an application that uses a JWindow, specifically because it
does not have decorations. This same application runs under linux,
however, the decorations appear, even though it is a JWindow. Can
anyone tell me why, and is their a way to fix this?
