It seems a dot inside [] means a dot rather than "any character".
DOH! That's right in the docs too. <blush>
Don't worry about it. I use regular expressions all the time and pull stuff
like that every once in a while, too. They are a great tool to have in your
toolbox (though I know not everyone here feels the same); keep on working
with them and they will save you lots of time in the future.
