    Greetings,

    I've got a problem here, how to compare the value of two
    java.sql.Date types? that is, how to know which one is earlier or
    later? Thanks!

    A quick trip to the javadocs (always the best place to start!) shows
    that java.sql.Date extends java.util.Date and so inherits the before
    and after methods. See
    <http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/util/Date.html#before(java.util.Date)>
