hi,

i am having big issues in deploying my asp.net web application
to our web server.

dates do not behave the same as on my development machine yet
the web.config files are the same and both have the same
regional settings.

for example Date.Today on the server returns 25/00/2003 !?!?!?!

any ideas ppplleeaaassseeee ?

thnx.

I had a similar problem a week or two ago, I'm not sure if
this is the solution but it worked for me. Set the culture
property of the document to whatever you need. i.e. en-GB

found the problem ....

in my control panel | regional settings my "Short date format" was
(correctly) set to "dd/MM/yyyy".

but i was suspicious of this because i kept getting 00 back as the month
regardless
of my culture, format etc... (see my previous posts).

so, i went into regedit and did a search for "dd/mm/yyyy" and lo-and-behold
i found a
string called 'sShortDate' in 'HKEY_USERS/default/control
panel/international'
that was set to 'dd/mm/yyyy'. i changed this to 'dd/MM/yyyy' and everything
works now.

i kept searching and found another one in
'5-1-5-21-[...snip..]/default/control panel/international'
and i changed this also.

i wonder, is this issue documented anywhere and how did sShortdate get set
like this?

anyway, thnx for ur help guys and i hope this post will help someone else.
