Visual Web Developer Express 2008 and listing directories

S

Samir Bouzid

Hi,

Does anybody knows how to configure Visual Web Developer Express 2008 to
auto display index.html file when no default.aspx file is present in a
directory ?

Currently VWD Express list the content of the directory instead of
displaying the index.html page.

Thx,
Samir

It is not visual web developer that is doing it, it is your web server
application.

Are you using IIS? If so, it is an item you configure by right clicking the
folder where the web app is located, select properties, then Documents tab,
then add index.html.

However, some files are already set up... default.htm, default.asp,
index.htm

If you are using for example, XP home and don't have IIS, then you are
probably using cassini. Search the internet for how to configure cassini.
