VisualAge IDE scroll problem

I have VisualAge ofr Java 4.0 installed on Windows XP on Compaq nx7010
laptop with logitech optical usb mouse attached.
Wheel scroll doesn't seem to work in IDE, though downloaded and installed
latest Logitech MouseWare 9.79.1 with logitech driver update instead of
supplied with windows.

The problem is VA 4.0 uses java 1.2.2 (I think), scrolling with the
mouse is only supported on java 1.3 and above

On desktop the same version of VisualAge scrolls just fine...
