WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER
The Client, located in the San Francisco Bay area, provides technology
application products that are used by consumers/patients, providers,
employers, and payers within the Health Information Technology sector.
They are currently looking for experienced Web Application Developers
with solid technical skills. The web development team is responsible
for all front-end aspects of the Personal Health Record (PHR) product
portfolio, from writing technical implementation specs to building,
testing and operating the client’s web products. This team will play
a key role in developing, enhancing and maintaining the next generation
of web-based Personal Health Record (PHR) applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports ASP business model web applications using JAVA technologies
and XML
Develop software in a full project life cycle environment,
including: business analysis, requirements gathering, design
documentation and implementation
Assist with architecture of new applications and projects
Construction of object-oriented, component-oriented and
service-oriented software systems
Provide research and development for new technologies, techniques,
and problems
Plan for delivery and easy deployment of completed software
QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of healthcare
industry experience
Expertise in SQL, HTML, DHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, ASP, JSP,
JAVA. Some PHP preferred
3+ years professional experience in development of Object Oriented
and component-based systems
Detailed knowledge in several of the following areas: OOAD with UML,
Java J2EE/JEE5 standards, EJB, Web Technologies (Struts, JSF),
Hibernate, Web Services standards, Application Servers (WebSphere,
JBoss, WebLogic)
Knowledge of CVS and ability to work in a team with Source Control
System
Must have strong relational database experience (MySQL, Oracle, SQL
Server, Postgres SQL, DB2)
Experience with Unix and/or Linux
Strong knowledge and keen interest in emerging tools and
technologies in the Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) and
e-health industry and standards (HL7, CDA, CCOW, IHE profiles)
Ability to offer different technologies and develop prototypes as
needed
Top-notch debugging and testing skills
Experience building and operating highly efficient and scalable web
applications
Experience with writing technical implementation specifications and
test plans
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team with tight
deadlines, multiple projects and evolving requirements
COMPENSATION
$85-95K base salary, generous bonus, full benefits package, 401K, stock
options.
