Webcontrol over HTTPS

Discussion in 'ASP .Net Web Controls' started by Yuriy MMM via .NET 247, May 14, 2004.

  1. I have a problem with webcontrol loaded through page with HTTPS url.
Control object url inside page uses http.
Webontrol inside uses remoting (over https).
When creating remote object the exception is thrown with message
"Return argument has an invalid type"
If I switch page url protocol to HTTP the message goes away and everything work
as expected but I need HTTPS.
The error is experienced on XP and W2003 client systems, W2k systems work witout problem
(at least those which we tried).
