Does anyone know why Microsoft disabled Webservice HttpGet by default on 1.1 Framework? Is it a security risk to enabled this options? Thanks in advance

    Regards

on the theory that a smaller attack surface is necessarily more secure.
There are no "known exploits", but it's best to be more conservative.
