Hi all, I am installing a few web services on Windows 2003 Server. To
allow a service to run, the service directory should be selected in the IIS
Manager tool and the directory properties should be changed to "create" an
application name under the application settings. This works fine for each
service, one at a time.
What I would like to know is exactly what changes are made when I click
"Create" in application settings? I would like to automate the process, so
instead of having to open the IIS manager and select each service, open
it's properties and create the service, I can simply recurse through the
web root directory looking for .asmx files and make their directory a web
service.
Clear as mud, right? Thank for you help.
